My new obsession: I.G.

I did something very unique today.
I went to a Italian Greyhound rescue playdate.

This is me with my not-so-furry friend Rue.
Unfortunately she didn't go home with me
because she was rescued some time ago by our family friend.
She is an energetic and friendly canine who thinks she is far bigger than her bite.
She was only 1 of 49 Italian Greyhounds at our playdate today.

(Why yes they are wearing flying monkey outfits, minus the hats due to slight excitement).

Many of these Italian Greyhounds came from horrible puppy mills, abusive or neglectful homes, or were turned in by their owners who were not ready for the responsibility of a pet.
Needless to say, my heart broke a little-
and now I'm in love.

I talked to Scott, a man who I understood to be a high-impact rescuer, explained that they are looking for foster-caregivers and owners for this adorable creatures.
You can learn more about the adoption process and the requirements for adoption in your area at

Now comes the part where I motify our backyard, research, save money and hope that I will get my own someday soon...

Happy Adopting!
