Twenty four hours of driving and now we are in Portland...
I have this weird since of belonging here. Partly because there is family and friends and partly because there is the cool crisp Oregon air.
This is a place that would fulfill my possibilities. I know that this is where I want to live, now it is just up to me convincing Matt (even though this is where he has wanted to be all along...) I constantly settle for things like I did for the midwest. I knew that it would never work for me. I want to know that when I wake up there could be something completely new that I could do that day and all I would have to do is walk down the street.
M. Ward could not have said it better
You say "how does it feel to be travelling?"
"How's it feel to live your life on a train
And the aeroplane?"
Well, I ain't gonna lie to you
Well, every town is all the same
When you've left your heart in the Portland rain
You could not possibly understand it unless you came here.
There are tree every angle you turn
Every restaurant you go to is the best food you've ever tasted
If the music didn't start here it is sure to come through town
And let's not even get started on the coffee...
